Good hotel with amenities like free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and a lovely bar/lounge area. On my first stay, the staff even helped find my lost ring, showcasing their really good service. I'll be back for Christmas!

Incredible food and onsen experience, but the men's outdoor bath needed better maintenance.

The location was perfect, in front of the

main street facing the river. The onsen experience was wonderful, and the Japanese breakfast offered great variety. Just be mindful of the house slippers. they felt a bit small for western feet. Overall, a surreal stay with great memories.

My stay at Kinosaki Yamamotoya was delightful! The meals were an extravagant multi-course dining experience including incredibly fresh local crab. The staff were attentive, providing meticulous service and assisting with the traditional Yakuta fitting, which made my visit feel special.

during my stay, I enjoyed the fantastic views of the willow-lined canal right outside, and being so close to the Kinosaki Traditional Straw Work Museum made exploring easy and delightful.

While enjoying the shared onsen baths, the location at the center of a quaint town made for easy exploration. However, access to the onsen could feel crowded, especially during peak times, and the shared bathroom facilities may not suit everyone’s preference. A staff member’s assistance with luggage was highly appreciated, particularly on the way to the station.

The ryokan is just steps from multiple public baths, and the view from our room overlooking the canal was breathtaking. I loved strolling around in my yukata and exploring the charming shops. Plus, the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay.

For dads, it would be great if there were more family-friendly amenities.

The room was massive, definitely fit for a group! The onsen experience was serene with amazing garden views. We had the privilege of soaking in a private onsen that was super relaxing after a day out. The location was prime, right in the center, making it convenient to explore all the onsens.

It was just a great match for a short weekend trip in Toyooka, offering good value. I loved the mini-bar stocked with local craft beers, which was a nice touch after a long day. Bring your own toiletries, as they seemed a bit limited.

We loved soaking in the hotel's onsen after exploring the quaint local shops. The staff kept us cozy with warm, heated tatami floors, and we enjoyed our spacious room equipped with a private toilet while our teenage daughter felt at home in the provided Yukata.

My wife says that the stairs can be quite steep for little ones.
